October 28, 1988: Laurea* degree in East Asian Languages and Literature, University of Venice, summa cum laude (110/110 e Lode). Thesis presented on the arts and archaeology of the ancient Chinese kingdom of Chu.*The Laurea, an Italian University Degree, is equivalent to the M.A. of the Anglo-American university system.
